Effective parenting helps children to grow strong in both social and physical development. Parenting adults have to be keen and keep children away from negative events and analyze their behavior and developmental milestones for any controversial issue in their development.

Why is childhood very important for a child’s wholesome development?

Babies begin to learn and see the world around them from the early stage including the prenatal, perinatal, and postnatal periods. Research and studies show that the early stages of the child play a key role in a child’s brain and human development.

  • Emotional domain– the child’s self-awareness, how they feel about themselves, expressing their feelings, and how they take care of themselves.
  • Cognitive domain – how children think, reason, solve problems and learn languages.

 These areas are interrelated, influencing development in the other areas. The skills and knowledge acquired by the child form a strong foundation for an advanced future. Parents can make children play to develop their simple and even complex skills.

Many factors and current issues influence children’s development including heredity, community, illness, family, and society. Children must have a happy environment, get their needs met, and feel safe and confident to learn and explore.

It’s important for a parent and caregiver to understand the development of the children at every phase of their growth and the controversies involved in a child’s development. Parents have to know what child expectations are and learn how to help your child to improve their abilities to face society with boldness.

Every Parent’s doubt that often disturbs their mind is the growth of their children. Children tend to grow up naturally – their bodies tend to grow naturally with available resources. There are a lot of debates circulating throughout the development issues and psychology. The major issues as follows:

Research states that a child by birth knows to adapt to its environment and give appropriate sound signals of hunger, irritation, and many more. By the time a child is almost the age to start schooling, he is well enough capable of taking his own decisions like choosing the costume, selecting his friends’ circle, etc.,

The surroundings in which children grow can either improve or harm their mental and emotional state. Parents could introduce new music or special toys in their day-to-day activities to encourage brain development. No matter what your children age, hold and hug them, and patiently hear the stories of their world. Give your time, lots of love and attention to your child and show them your support. Interact with your children to learn about their interests and skills. By doing these, you could easily comprehend out the basic issues in child development. 

Family context serves the primary socializing agent for child development. Family structure, relationships between the family members, and resources in the home play a key role in a child’s healthy mental development.

Parental engagement involves attending their child’s activities and knowing their friends, providing a home safe environment, and daily needs to meet. Family instills the value, norms, attitudes, and beliefs of their culture and environment, and helps children to grow as positive, contributing members to their society. 

Parents have to maintain a positive harmony with their child and keep them out of their controversial issues like divorces, financial problems and illness, pressure and stress can affect their development.

Neighborhood and community in which children live impact various aspects of healthy development. School and neighborhood safety defines a child’s behavior in the public and things they do outside their home.

A community environment promotes healthy development and socializing skills. Family contextual factors include measures of family income, size of household, household composition, and parental education. The family’s income and resources play a role in a child’s nutrition and diet  of child development.

Why Conversation with children about difficult topics is important?

Children have fear and difficulties discussing unpleasant events or scary things like divorce, bullying, or other abuse scenarios. Open discussion among family members helps children face difficulties and dispel irrational fears.

Every child wants to learn that anxiety is common and anxious feelings will decrease over time. The Best Example would be our ancestors. Their keenness on not speaking intimate topics made us adults face complex issues in human development.
